kodi install on ubuntu:

# if kodi was installed from ubuntu repos
sudo apt purge kodi*

sudo apt install software-properties-common
sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:team-xbmc/ppa
sudo apt install kodi

remote control options: 1 - ps4 controller connected to pc with bluetooth 2 - any generic remote controller with flirc usb 3 - tv’s own remote controller with USB - CEC Adapter from pulseeight
